Join-Up® Clinics are uniquely structured to benefit all who attend, whether or not they bring a horse. Clinics include demonstrations of techniques and involved discussions. Un-started horses are used to demonstrate the positive bond of trust that Join-Up® can establish. People are encouraged to bring horses of any age, breed or discipline to learn the value of Join-Up®, and enhance and develop positive relationships with their horses. Clinic participants without horses are included in all learning opportunities. "Hands-on" experience is NOT limited to those who bring horses.

Monty
has developed this unique concept and methodology over many years. The title of
his book, "The Man Who Listens To Horses," reminds us that the results
we see will be dictated by our own ability to learn "Equus," the
language of horses. An open mind and realistic goals are important when
participating in these clinics. People from all over the country are attending
these Join-Up® clinics and going home with more knowledge and understanding of
"Equus" than they ever thought possible.

Brain storming session at Monty's
| JOIN-UP®
CLINIC
Participants will be introduced to Monty's Join-Up® method of starting young horses to saddle, bridle and rider. Students will be introduced to the silent language of horses that Monty calls "Equus." We will use a variety of horses to demonstrate training techniques. This provides an excellent opportunity to learn how the basics of Join-Up® applies to all horses. In addition to following the horse through initial training, participants will learn to apply Monty's Join-Up® method to horses with special problems. Students will learn to identify the source of the problems and the concepts behind the techniques used to address the problems.
Participants will work individually in the round pen progressing through
the stages of training using Join-Up®
as the foundation of their
program. The focus will be on developing technique, encountering new
issues, and achieving solutions. |

PARTICIPATION * Current Health certificate *
Current Inoculations: Negative Coggins (within
12 months),
and a
negative vesicular stomatitis statement from veterinarian if coming from
Arizona, New Mexico, or Texas. |
| Participants
with horses will work in the round pen under the direction of the
Join-Up® team. Helmets are required for participants working in the
round pen. Due to clinic time constraints, there is no guarantee as to a
specific amount of time a participant will spend with round pen
instruction. If you are bringing your own horse, arrangements must be made with the clinic coordinator
on an individual basis. Join-Up® is beneficial to any horse, but due to the nature of the clinics and for the safety of all participants, WF retains the right to refuse participation of a particular horse in any clinic at any time. Owners of horses that have been refused participation will be reimbursed all or part of the horse participation fee only. Only pre-approved horses will be used. |
