Our lesson Horses: Many have been part of our family for so long that we'd be lost without them. They are the backbone of our farm. We currently have 16 lesson horses.

Our horses include a wide array of breeds, ages, and talents. Many have been rescued over the years and rehabilitated. Our horses range in degrees of difficulty from babysitters to higher level hunters and Western horses. The students move up through the different ranks of horses similar to the different belts taught in martial arts. Each horse is an individual, and each has a lesson to teach. 

We are diligent in creating a happy atmosphere for our horses as well. We are VERY careful that our horses are not overworked. They usually work two lessons a day, get 2 days off a week (more than me!), and a month off during the year. Our horses receive the very best of care, both physically and emotionally.

Our lesson horses are NOT for sale, although many people beg to buy them.

We are, however, offering several of them FOR LEASE.

One of our very first and is the very best. Is Don Casi Mio (Casio for short). He's a 14.1 hand Peruvian Paso Fino x Welsh pony and is 16 years old. The guy does it all from hunter shows, to endurance, to lead horse for youngsters, to "baby sitter" for all age groups. We all love him so. He's been with us since 1996.

Keowee Kate (Katy) is a 15.1 hand, liver chestnut, 20 year old, registered, Morgan mare. She's been a part of our program since Spring 2000. She was also a major part of the "Woodward" program for 4 years. Many people learn how to canter on Kate. She's a joy to ride and work around. She's due to foal in June 08.

MD Conspiracy TLA (Conspiracy) is an 14.1 hand, bay, 15 year old, registered, Arabian mare. She's the horse that everyone starts on, and she LOVES to trot. Conspiracy has been part of our lives since 1998. She also was one of our steady "Woodward" ponies when we taught there for 4 years.

Touch of Amber (Amber) is a 14.1 hand, liver chestnut, 13 year old, registered, Morgan mare. She loves to jump, adores trail riding, and did I mention a "need for speed?" When students aren't riding her, she's Mr. Bobby's choice. She's been here since Fall 2000.

Twist N Shout (Twister) is a 13.1 hand, gray and white, 21 year old, Welsh x pony mare. She was also one of our "Woodward" ponies and has been with us since 1999. In her younger years, she was a phenomenal jumping pony, but now her arthritis prevents her from jumping very high (as you can see she still loves to "GO"). She teaches many of the little students to canter.

Penny for Thought (Penny) is a 7 year old, 16.1 hand, black and white, Percheron/paint cross (PMU mare) and nicknamed "Sofa" as she is so smooth. She teaches walk/trot to many of the adult students. Penny was trained by Hannah earlier  (March '04) and then was purchased by the farm in June 2004.

Running Red Lights (Red) is the prankster of the group. He's a 14.1 hand (don't tell him that!), chestnut, 21 year old, QH gelding. His job is to keep advanced students on their toes and learning; he also teaches walk/trot to beginners. He has a good heart and an amazingly smooth canter. Red has been with us since 1999.

Dancing with Trouble (Dancer) is a 9 year old, 16 hand, chestnut, QH gelding. He's a very steady guy with a western pleasure attitude which is great for confidence building. He also enjoys jumping and is wonderful at shows. He's been here since May of 2004 and was purchased by the farm Sept. '05.

Zipped Fleet (Dexter) is a 8 year old, 16 hand, American Paint horse gelding. He was donated to us March 2005 by the Howe family. He's a wonderfully quiet horse with lots of talent. He's very steady and has become a nice show horse.

 WF Gabriel's Triumph (Gabe) is a 6 year old, 15 hand, chestnut, Morab gelding. He has the unique distinction to being the first horse born here that went on to join the lesson program. His mother is our wonderful Kate and his dad is the beautiful Sir Lancelott (Blitz). FOR LEASE

Sam I Am (Sam), is a 13 year old, 14.1 hand, palomino, QH pony that was purchased by the farm Feb. 2007. He's a super sweet boy that loves to jump with the intermediate riders. The judges love him too.

He's So Fine (Aka Traveler) is a 20 year old, Arabian gelding. He's been on and off our farm since 2000 and has been recently donated to the lesson program from the Kopacz family. He's an awesome teacher with a wonderfully smooth canter.     

Charisma is an 8 year old, 13.2 hand, Arabian mare that can flat out jump the moon. She's a full sister to Conspiracy. She was re-purchased by the farm in May of 2008. She's an advanced horse for the horse shows.

Bedtime Story (aka Storm) is a 10 year old, 13.1 hand, Welsh mare. She's on a partial lease to the farm. She can flat out jump and is a great teacher.

Prospects: young horses that are up and coming, and that will join or have recently joined the lesson program.

WF Lady Liberty (Liberty) is a 6 year old, 15.3 hand, bay, Arab x Appendix QH, mare. She also was born here and will be a part of the lesson program. Her mom is Mya and her dad is the talented Sir Lancelott. She won a reserve championship her very first under saddle show with Morgan aboard. FOR LEASE

Gabriella (Ella) is a 11 year old, 16.2 hand, bay, Oldenburg mare. She was trained by Hannah as a 5 year old before returning home. Her former owners worked out a fantastic deal, and she will be one of our "A" show horses once she gets a few more miles on her. FOR LEASE
